Left Hand Creek meteorite (IAB complex)

In August, 2000, a single weathered meteorite was found in colluvium on the eastern flank of the Dakota hogback near Left Hand Creek, Boulder County, Colorado. A person digging a posthole hit a large rock; it was decided not to move the hole but to remove the rock, a rusty 8.671 kg iron meteorite.
