This is as fine a Zinnwald fluorite as us mere mortals can ever hope to see. Zinnwald is the famous old mining area known for cassiterite, scheelite and the variety of muscovite known as zinnwaldite, among other things. This single crystal, 1 cm x 1.3 cm on edges, is a large and sharp textbook specimen of tetrahexahedral fluorite, and it is perched on mica books. From Zinnwald, Bohemia, Czechen.
Measures: 8 x 8 x 6 cm
